Our take: none of these is a true budget card at October 2026 UK prices. The RTX 5060 at £399.95 is the cheapest of the three we checked, but its 8GB frame buffer is the limitation most likely to age badly. The Arc B580's 12GB is the better long-term buffer, but at £499.99 for this model it costs £100 more, so if you can wait, wait.
Reliability and upgrade notes: a card bought for 1080p is often kept 4-5 years. More VRAM headroom, a sensible single 8-pin power connector and a full-metal backplate (Sparkle) reduce two common failure modes on second-hand cards: overheated memory and stressed power connectors.
The RX 9060 XT 16GB is currently priced far above its launch level in the UK, so we don't call it a budget pick this month. Watch for it to fall back.
Verdict
For 1080p on the tightest budget, the RTX 5060 is the lowest verified price here. If you would rather have more VRAM than save money, the Arc B580 has 12GB but costs £100 more today.
